I Chat To Lauren Tuck of The Rah Rah Podcast About Elevating Your Biz

The risk of burnout for business owners is massive. Typically we’re over-achievers who set high expectations on ourselves, and we have a tendency to push ourselves too hard.

⛔ More sales

⛔ More hours

⛔ More grind

If we’re not working at 100% all the time, then are we working hard enough? 🤷‍♀️

(And I say “we” there because I’ve struggled with this in the past, too!)

But the truth is, success isn’t measured in how tired you are, or how many late nights you had sitting at your desk.

And it definitely isn’t achieved when you end up running yourself into the ground.

It’s important to be able to spot the warning signs of burnout so you can combat it before it takes hold.
It’s even more important to nip it in the bud and take steps to stop you from getting there in the first place.

I’m no stranger to burnout, and neither is Lauren Tuck, founder of Rah Rah Consulting and The Rah Rah Podcast.

After setting up her consulting business, she found herself overwhelmed and overworked. Without delegating, she was taking on everything in her business, not taking care of her health and quickly she hit burnout.

Since recovering from that, Lauren works with small to medium-sized businesses to help them scale without going through the same thing, through her mentorship and custom workshops.

When I got the chance to join Lauren on her podcast, I was super excited to chat about how you can utilise the support of a virtual assistant to grow your biz and reduce your working hours (the dream!)

We covered so much in 50 minutes and the podcast is jam-packed with value:

🔥 Time-tracking to identify where you need support

🔥 Tools to save you time with your everyday 5-minute tasks (they very quickly add up!)

🔥 Automations and processes to simplify your biz

🔥 How to prioritise the help you need right now

🔥 Future-proofing your systems and processes

You want the best return on investment when you’re bringing in an elite virtual assistant to your business.

And the best way to get that is to make sure you have a sound plan in place for how they’re going to support your growth.

Whether you bring in someone to deal specifically with tech support, social media content or executive diary management, knowing where they fit into your plans for the future is the secret for success.

In last week’s blog I spoke about developing your business organisational chart and strategy. This week, we’re going to look at things in the shorter term.

Over to you

If you haven’t done this recently, write down your 30 day / 90 day / 180 day goals.

Dig deep into where you see your business at the end of each time period.

👉 What products do you want to launch?

👉 What revenue do you want to bring in?

👉 How many more clients will you have?

Then examine what support you need to get you there.

As you work through this exercise, it’ll become clear to you where the most pressing requirements are for your biz.

And that’s where you should get support first.

Just imagine where you could be at the end of the 180 days? 🌟

All my best,

Selina
