What is a CEO mindset?
As business owners we wear so many hats on a daily basis.

The list could go on, and on, and on.
Because when you start to build your business, of course you’ll do all the jobs you’ve gotta do to make things work.
But there comes a time when you have to make a switch - and it’s not always an easy one.
Eventually you have to move out of “I-do-everything” mode to “CEO” mode.
And while we can learn how to perform like the best CEOs - there are some things that are specific for biz owners like you.
How do I know? I was the same, and most of my clients have been there too.
I’ve spoken before about what it takes to be the best CEO you can be in your biz.
There’s often a bit more to it, though. Your mind has to be in the right place.
Making the switch from solopreneur to CEO doesn’t have to be as intimidating as you think it is…there are a couple of things you can do to nail the right mindset.
Build & value relationships
When you work alone, the only relationships you have to worry about are the ones with your clients and depending how tech savvy you are, the one with your office IT.
As your biz grows, though, there’s going to come a time where you need to bring in others to your business. Whether they’re permanent employees, sub-contractors, or virtual assistants, being able to build a strong working relationship based on trust and respect will see you far in business.
There are myriad ways to do this.
I believe that if you foster open communication (both giving and receiving), be clear with your expectations and show respect for all those you work with, you’ll be well on your way.
Have a vision & communicate it
A leader with a CEO mindset has a clear direction for the future - and isn’t afraid to share it. Don’t be scared to set yourself - and your team - ambitious and exciting goals (just make sure you have smaller, achievable steps in there as well so you can maintain motivation).
Think BIG
When you’re setting plans and goals for the years to come, successful CEOs will go big with their ideas - and you should be no different. When you think of your future plans, you don’t have to be limited by being a one-person-team, with only so many hours in the day.
As CEO of your company, you can have a great team behind you, ready to drive your business to amazing new heights.
When you think of the CEO mindset, what traits come to mind? And how often do you model those behaviours in your biz? I’d love you to let me know in the comments below...
All my best,
