How To Find 5 Extra Hours In Your Week (Every Week!)
Making the leap from solopreneur to CEO in my biz was all down to TIME.
I had all of the same excuses that you probably use in your business too.
“I’ll join that mastermind when I have the time.”
“I’m stacked as it is — where would I find the time to manage a team?”
“I’ll hire a business coach one day but I just don’t have the time to give it my all right now.”
“I’ve got too much client work on to take any time out to focus on myself.”
I know what it’s like to feel that way — and for so long I didn’t see that I was actually stunting my growth by pushing myself 24/7.
Here’s what I did to find the time to stop slaving away and start working on myself and my business:
We’ve all been there… Rewriting the same emails over and over (and over!) again. I had NO idea how much of a time drain this was until I STOPPED doing it!
I drafted all of the emails that I use regularly with my team and my clients and saved them in my project management software ready to copy and paste whenever I needed them.
And — saving even more time — I made sure my team could access them too.
Time saved: 2 hours per week
2. Check, check check!
There’s nothing worse than dropping the ball when you feel up against it. You know what I mean — rushing to onboard clients, deal with suppliers, pay invoices — and before you know it, a tiny (yet crucial) detail has been missed, potentially causing havoc down the line.
I put a stop to that by revisiting all of the processes in Selina & Co. and creating checklists for everything that needed to be covered before that task could be completed from my or my team’s to-do lists.
Peace of mind, all day every day.

3. I created workflows for all of my marketing processes
Running a busy business support agency doesn’t leave me much time to brief in ongoing projects and especially recurring tasks — so I found a way around it.
I documented every single marketing process in Trello, mapping out exactly what needed doing and when — making sure that I was crystal clear in my brief without putting in hours of my time every week.
Knowing that everyone was reading from the same script gave us a huge boost in efficiency!
Time saved: 1.5 hours per week
4. I followed my own advice!
As a self-confessed organisation addict, I’m FULL of tips and tricks for my clients when it comes to making the most of their time and setting their biz up so they could focus on the needle-moving tasks.
The problem was… I just needed to follow them. So I shared them with my team and I committed to practicing what I preach!
Time saved: 0.5 hours per week
