How To Simplify Your Biz (And UP Your Profits)

As your business grows and becomes more successful, it’s only natural that things get more and more complex.

You get a bigger team.

You deliver more services to your customers.

You use more tools to work effectively.

Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good tool to help you work at your best.

But the challenge starts when you have too many moving pieces - it becomes hard to see the wood for the trees.

When I start to work with clients - either 121 or in my group programme - a LOT of them feel completely overwhelmed.

Their business is thriving, their clients are happy but they’ve been running at 110% for so long they can barely catch a breath! And living like this for long stretches of time means you start to lose focus, you approach burnout and your biz suffers as a consequence.

If you recognise yourself feeling this way, the key is to SIMPLIFY your business.

Over the last few years, there’s been a growing shift in the entrepreneurial world - a move to a more simple way of working which helps to focus your mind and in turn, enhance your success.

So how do you do it?

Well, first you want to establish your goals for simplifying the way you work - and this article is a great place to start with that.

Once you’ve established your aims and objectives, here are my top practical tips to simplify the way you and your team work - and UP your profits.

Hire strategically

Utilise tools or experts to streamline your hiring process, including screening questions and interviews to eliminate those who aren’t right for your business down to experience or ethos. This will save you time and stress further down the line.

Work with a small, trusted network of suppliers

If you rely on suppliers within your business - and many of my clients do - trim your network to a small but carefully selected few that you KNOW you can work with effectively.

Make sure their processes align with yours and you have great communication, and you’ll eliminate stress and time-sucking processes in your biz.

Create - and keep - boundaries

Know what you can - and can’t - achieve in an ideal workday, and remember to leave time for the personal stuff. As the old saying goes, “you can’t pour from an empty cup” and by over-filling your days with endless to-do lists, you’re setting yourself up with unrealistic expectations and stressful workloads.

If you feel like you’re constantly doing more and more in your biz, consider simplifying your approach and watch how your streamlined business works better FOR you.
